Kai uses an amazing SEO analogy. To be successful with SEO, think of it as a garden.

First and foremost, always remember that Google wants you to succeed. Google is looking for sites that have answers to questions. The better your site and content, the better it will be for searchers. The more authority you have through content, the more relevant you become and Google wants to share your information.

  1. Plant the seeds for search optimization.
  2. Fertilize your seeds in your garden over time.
  3. Harvest your crops when ready.

Meaning, SEO is an ongoing process, just like your garden. If you just did it once and let it be, you’d have weeds everywhere. If you put in the effort; water, seed, and weed regularly, you’ll be more fruitful.

This requires the investment of time, effort, and resources. Spending week after week in your garden, building paths, laying down hose, working on garden beds, and pruning the plants.

There’s no set and forget. Planting the seeds, building relationships, watering, and fertilizing and harvesting takes an indeterminate amount of time.

Taken out of context, this could be a bit confusing. So please, take the time and watch the recording. You’ll learn a lot from Kai.
