When should you add structured data while you’re building out a site?

You should make sure your Shopify store has structured data if both of these are true.

  1. Your store is public now and Google could see it (i.e. not passworded) and
  2. You’re going to make SEO a long term strategy.

Even if your store isn’t 100% ready, adding structured data now will give Google a chance to notice it. Then you can keep working on your store at the same time as Google runs their analysis.

It’s probably a good signal to Google if you’re adding pages and products over time too.
